We would like to extend a warm welcome to our OREC community.
Oxford Regional Educational Centre is located in Oxford, Nova Scotia, Canada. We have approximately 520 students enrolled in Grades Pre-Primary to 12 with 40 teaching staff. In addition to our daytime classes, we also provide a space within our building for an after school care program operated by Cumberland YMCA. We are also a Nova Scotia International Student Program host school and depending on the year, we host anywhere between 5 and 10 international students from various countries around the world. OREC has a an excellent athletics program competing in the Northumberland D3 Region through the SSNS program. We also offer an Inclusive Sport Program enabling all of our students the opportunity to participate in school athletics!
At OREC, our mission is to create engaging learning experiences in inclusive environments that support each student’s well-being and social emotional development. It is our aim to provide our students not just with the knowledge, skills and attitudes that are necessary to become life-long thinkers and learners, but also to develop them to the fullest of their potential both academically and as meaningfully contributing citizens of our global community.
